For its annual and fourth edition, the SINDBAD collective presents SINDBAD: On the Road!, a mobile exhibition concept that traverses the Gulf landscape from west to east - in an effort to collect art and research from the communities it encounters along the way. Through a custom extension to an existing vehicle, SINDBAD aims to exhibit, collect and connect with the diverse artistic ecologies that exist across the Kingdom and beyond.
In each city, SINDBAD: On the Road hosts a series of guerrilla-style pop-up exhibitions and activations, including car meets, open mics, record stores, and collaborations with formal art and gallery spaces. Among its key partners are Lamaat and Beast House in Riyadh’s JAX District, Bohemia in Khobar, Riwaq Art Space in Bahrain, and Naqsh Art Studio in Jeddah.
